With the price of season tickets for train travel on the rise this year, there has been an upturn in commuter town property sales. In the Daily Express this weekend, it stated that average train ticket prices across Britain have gone up by 3.4 per cent with rail commuters paying up to £2,500 more for a season ticket to work than they were at the beginning of the decade.
A spokesman for Zoopla, said: 'An easy commute into the office is often very near the top of the property wish list for those looking to move home"
There is great access from all of the areas we cover, not only by main train lines, but also roads too, even by air from Exeter if your commute is further afield!
Sara Fiddes from Saunders & Lingard stated that "We have seen a marked increase in buyers now considering Torquay and Paignton since the South Devon link road opened, as it has dramatically cut the journey times to Newton Abbot and the onward routes to Exeter and Plymouth"
Rob Lingard also from Saunders & Lingard, added "We also cover Newton Abbot and Kingsteignton from our Teignbridge branch which have both long been very popular towns for commuters working in Exeter and also utilising the motorway network up to Bristol and beyond."
Refreshing and unique, Saunders & Lingard are looking forward to continuing to help their customers open the door to a better kind of estate agency in 2018. Call us today if you would like some advice on your property 01626 240229 & 01803 611420
